Background Story
From the depths of the ancient world come the ssrall – half-man, half-serpent abominations created in the dawn age by the demon-god Ssrallgor. Birthed by the machinations of rapacious eldritch forces set on consuming the world in its infancy, the ssrall were created to lead their armies against the elder races. Cunning, strong, and blessed with otherworldly mental powers, the ssrall waged an era-spanning war against the elves, the dwarves, and the other elder civilizations – until, finally, a desperate act of large-scale destruction by the elves ended the conflict and forced the surviving ssrall into stasis deep beneath the earth.
Millennia later, the ssrall nests hidden across the world have begun to awaken, their ancient broodlords emerging into a new era. Few in number and without the forgotten knowledge required to create more of their kin, the remaining true-blooded ssrall have been forced to rely on deception and subterfuge to regain their power. Through forgotten arts of dark alchemy, they weave their blood into that of the younger races, creating legions of halfbloods and hybrids to serve them, march in their armies, and infiltrate the ignorant civilizations of this new age.
The ssrall have learned from their ancient defeat – instead of besieging the world in open warfare as they did in the past, they will spread their influence through snake-cults and carefully-pruned lineages of infiltrators, corrupting and destroying the young races from within…

AP(X): Targets get -X to Defense rolls when blocking hits.
Ambush: May be set aside before deployment. At the start of any round after the first, may be deployed anywhere over 9” away from enemy units. Players alternate in placing Ambush units, starting with the player that activates next. Units that deploy via Ambush can’t seize or contest objectives on the round they deploy.
Bleed Snakes: Whenever this model takes a wound in melee, the attacker takes 1 hit.
Breath Attack: Once per this model's activation, before attacking, roll one die. On a 2+ one enemy unit within 6" in line of sight takes 1 hit with Blast(3) and AP(1).
Constrict: Enemies get -1 to hit in melee when attacking units where all models have this rule.
Devour: Whenever this model attacks in melee, roll one die. On a roll of 6+ the target takes 1 wound.
Poison Blades: This model and its unit get Poison in melee.
Seduce: Once per this unit's activation, before attacking, pick one enemy unit within 12", which must take a morale test. If failed, you may move it by up to 6" in any direction.
Warning Cry: Enemy units using Ambush must be set up over 12" away from this model.
